Last night's life drawing class at SCAC in Brighton was pretty full and the gathered horde of scibblers (including the return of last week's newbie Anton Binder) attempted to capture Catherine's
curves and curls on paper or iPad.
Here are my best attempts.

Emmanuelle!
Last night I went along to the regular Tuesday night life drawing session at the Sussex County Arts Club in Brighton with my old pal and comrade on the boards (and now magician) Anton Binder who hadn't drawn a live model since his art college days back in the dim mists of time. Our model was the inspiring Emmanuelle who was stick thin and could hold a difficult pose like a statue! I've never seen anyone more French and I know a lot of French people! Anton did well and loved the experience. Here are some of my scribblings.

Magnificent Michaela!
Last night after a two month break, I attended the SCAC life drawing session where our model was Michaela. I hadn't drawn her for a few years but she's always been one of Brighton's best models do I was delighted to draw her again. She's been away for a couple of months working on a project in Ibiza, an island I've never visited despite spending a lot of time in Majorca. One day!

Life- that's the name of the game!
Last night I attended the always excellent life drawing session at SCAC hosted by mister reliable- Bill Donohoe. It was a busy session with lots of regulars including Rich Newman and fellow cartoonist Geo Parkin. Unfortunately, I can't remember the model's name but she was excellent.
Here are some of my scribblings.

At the Double
I had two life drawing sessions on the bounce this week. First was at SCAC with artist and model lovely, lissom Laura Ryan then a private session at my bachelor penthouse flat where Alexa Garside and I drew the fabulous Naomi Wood. After a fairly long gap in Mallorca where the life drawing sessions are very thin on the ground it was great to get back in the saddle in arty farty Brighton where we are spoilt rotten for drawing. Her are my best scribblings from the two sessions.

Kate Shields
On my birthday, having already celebrated for the previous two nights I went along to the regular Tuesday night session of life drawing at SCAC where our model was the ever fabulous Kate Shields.
It was a hot and clammy night and the assembled stalwarts (including fellow renowned cartoonist and comedy sketch writer Geo Parkin, flamboyant fashion artist Hamza Arcan, fitness instructor and illustrator Alexa Garside, anatomy expert, teacher and animator Jeremy Radvan and lovely new friend and healer Ye Ping Tsim) were wilting a bit but it was a fun session. Here are my best attempts at capturing Kate.

Zoe
At last Tuesday's session at The Sussex County Arts Club our model was Zoe. I've drawn her a few times before and she's really good to draw. I was tempted to continue my attempts to draw on my iPad but as I have an exhibition coming up in the new year I thought I'd better go analogue.

Jasmine and Michaela
I had one private session with Jasmine and a SCAC session with Michaela a couple of weeks back but because of the pressure of Christmas deadlines I've only just got around to scanning and posting these and I've had another session since these which I need to scan in too. It's all too much! Can I have 8 more hours in the day please Time Lords?

Kate times 2
Over the last couple of nights I've had two drawing sessions with Kate Shields at the SCAC.
The first was Bill Donahoe's regular Tuesday night class where he plays great music to accompany the scribbling and last night was a special event organised by Kate (who has more fabulous curves that the Amalfi coast road) and her fellow fab modelling pals Frankie and Emma. The theme was the three muses linked by red twine in a varied three hour session accompanied again by a great soundtrack. There was a fabulously tranquil and inspiring atmosphere and it was good to see my old studio mate Dan Lish there for his first life drawing session in yonks. Thanks Kate for a great event.

Zoe
Zoe was our model on Tuesday night at Bill's life drawing session at the SCAC. She's slim and tanned and very goo
d to draw. That night she had a feather in her hair giving her a Native American Indian Squaw look which appealed to me greatly being a bit of a fan of all things Wild West.
