Chiara

I went along to last night's life drawing session at The Sussex County Arts Club where our model was the excellent Chiara. Here are some of my daubings.

Katieee!

My final life drawing class at Bill's Tuesday night session at Sussex County Arts Club was very enjoyable as the attendant scribblers grooved to Bill's cool tunes as we tried to capture the tall and elegant Katie on paper and iPad. Here are my best ones.

Catherine

Last night's life drawing class at SCAC in Brighton was pretty full and the gathered horde of scibblers (including the return of last week's newbie Anton Binder) attempted to capture Catherine's
curves and curls on paper or iPad.
Here are my best attempts.

Emmanuelle!

Last night I went along to the regular Tuesday night life drawing session at the Sussex County Arts Club in Brighton with my old pal and comrade on the boards (and now magician) Anton Binder who hadn't drawn a live model since his art college days back in the dim mists of time. Our model was the inspiring Emmanuelle who was stick thin and could hold a difficult pose like a statue! I've never seen anyone more French and I know a lot of French people! Anton did well and loved the experience. Here are some of my scribblings.

Magnificent Michaela!

Last night after a two month break, I attended the SCAC life drawing session where our model was Michaela. I hadn't drawn her for a few years but she's always been one of Brighton's best models do I was delighted to draw her again. She's been away for a couple of months working on a project in Ibiza, an island I've never visited despite spending a lot of time in Majorca. One day!

Different Jenny

At my final SCAC session last night before returning to the hot embrace of the Mediterrenean I thought I'd try out a different technique. More cartoony inspired by the work of the brilliant Shane Glines. Our model was Jenny but a different Jenny to last week's Jenny. Brighton's full of Jennys!

Jenny on the Blog

What a treat to once again draw the wonderful French model Jenny at the Sussex County Arts Club last night. She has the most toned physique I've ever seen due to her hobby of rock climbing. Also in attendance were some of the usual suspects- Rich Newman, Geo Parkin, Xavier and Alexa Garside. We were joned later in the pub by Mark Harrison for a good old moan about art!

Ellie

After a gap of about a month I returned last night to my favourite life drawing session at the Sussex County Arts Club in Brighton hosted by Bill Donohoe who always plays some groovy toons whilst the assembled scribblers scribble away. Last night our model was excellent first timer Ellie who enjoyed the experience and is keen to return.

Life- that's the name of the game!

Last night I attended the always excellent life drawing session at SCAC hosted by mister reliable- Bill Donohoe. It was a busy session with lots of regulars including Rich Newman and fellow cartoonist Geo Parkin. Unfortunately, I can't remember the model's name but she was excellent.

Here are some of my scribblings.

Pitu

Our model this week was the same as last week only her name is Pitu and not Marta as I posted last time. Here she is!

Marta

Our model in this week´s life drawing session in the old stone vaults beneath the cathedral was Marta.
Marta nearly drowned last August when she was swept off some rocks into the sea by a huge wave and had to tread water and swim against the current for over three hours before she was found and rescued.
She´s a very lucky girl.

Raquel (not Welsh!)

I attended my first Spanish life drawing class for over a year in the old stone vaults under the cathedral. I went along with my new friend Leticia and our model was Raquel who is Spanish not Welsh (feeble joke!) It differs from an English life drawing class in thtee ways. There is no music (a pity) and there is no half time break for a cup of tea and a chat (even more of a pity). Also, the artists take turns in asking for poses and dictating the length of the pose. This caused one woman to down pencils and walk out after Leti asked for 5 one minute poses. You can´t please everyone, I guess.

Michaela

Just before returning to Palma after the seemingly very long Christmas and new year break I managed to fit in a life drawing session at The Sussex County Arts Club where the elegant and statuesque Michaela was modelling. She´s a great model as I hope you can see from my daubings. Afterwards some of the usual suspects (Mark, Bill, Geo, me and Alexa) repaired to a local hostilery to imbibe fermented hops as is our wont. A good start to the year!
