As work has tailed off a bit it allows me to indulge in some early morning nonsense sketching or work avoidance exercises as I like to call them. I never know what I'm going to draw until I begin, usually with a random squiggly line. Then if that suggests something I will develop the image. If not I'll turn it upside down and draw another squiggly line until some image starts to appear to me like staring at flowery wallpaper and seeing faces. Anyone can do this as it doesn't rely on any skill as an artist and is a very enjoyable and absorbing distraction from the usual problems of the day. Give it a go! You might surprise yourself!
