Last night's life drawing session at the Sussex Arts Club was graced by the presence of the beautiful Charlotte. Here are my best attempts at capturing her loveliness.

Happy Birthday my Liege!

My old mate Forbes Collins who played King John in the brilliant kids TV series Maid Martian and her Merry Men had a birthday the other day so I thought I'd adapt a couple of pages from the Maid Marian comic books I'd drawn for the series as a card for him. Here it is. He's a lovely fellah

and loved the books so it's the least I can do. Happy Birthday, my Liege and long may you reign!

Afternoon delight

Went along to the afternoon session at The Sussex Arts Club yesterday where there was a delightful model posing who was new to me. I didn't get her name but she was lovely to draw with great poses and amazing dreadlocky hair. Here are my best efforts.

Turning Japanese

Bill's Tuesday night life drawing session featured a Japanese model who I hadn't drawn before. It was inspiring to draw a different girl as I've become quite familiar with most of the local models, lovely as they are. Alas, I can't remember  her name but here are the best efforts from that night.

Visions of Johanna

The sinuous and svelte Johanna returned from Edinburgh for a visit and some modelling at Jake's Thursday lunchtime session.
She's always great to draw. Here are my best efforts.

Lost Toys of the Imaginarium

I went to my first life drawing session in 5 weeks and only drew one nude! It was Jake Spicer's 

Lost Toys of the Imaginarium.

at The Old Market off Western Road. Loads of drawers turned up to draw the dressed-up-as-toys models and it was great fun. Here are my best efforts.

 

What I did on my holidays

Well actually it was a working holiday (more of the working, less of the holiday) in my flat in Palma de Mallorca.
The weather was scorching hot for the whole month but I have my weekly comic strip to produce for Match of the Day magazine as well as my monthly spot in SFX magazine and a couple of extra jobs so I didn't see much of the beach.

Here's my output for the month which includes a self portrait in acrylic and photoshop painted on my birthday because I've never done one before. There's also a picture I did for my Palma pal Daniel as a thank-you for repairing my laptop when it went Kablooey!
